Colorado Hospital Association CEO Jeff Tieman said he has visited 80 hospitals throughout the state in the past year-and-a-half, and has heard many accounts of healthcare workers who are abused, injured, or assaulted while doing their job every day.
“So we’re going to be looking at legislation to protect our healthcare workforce to make sure they have the tools and resources they need to stay safe, and the patients are educated. Because just as patients deserve a safe and compassionate place to receive healthcare, workers deserve a safe and compassionate place to deliver healthcare.”
