Andrew Jensen, policy advisor of food security and agriculture at the Office of Gov. Mike Dunleavy, said access and affordability for healthcare and food are primary concerns in the state.
“I don’t think Alaska’s alone in that situation. But I think Alaska’s issues are complicated by distance, geography, and those kinds of things. Also, you have very important cultural needs that need to be addressed, that maybe aren’t the same in other parts of the country.”
