“In a general sense, there’s a wide recognition of the need to integrate both services for individuals who have interaction with law enforcement (and) for individuals who have come in and out of our jails, and integrate those with our crisis behavioral health services and overall community and clinical services. My priority here is trying to link those things together, and ensure we can find the areas in which there are service gaps and access issues, and see if we can close them.”
