We spoke with Birth and Milk Queens Founder Bianca Nash-Miot at the recent 2023 Michigan State of Reform Health Policy Conference about her priorities, which center around supporting the birthing workforce in Michigan. With the state having implemented Medicaid coverage of doula services earlier this year, she wants to see an increase in the number of licensed doulas under the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
“I’m just looking at anything that’s going to help fetal maternal interest. Anything that’s going to provide money and support to lowering the disparities that we currently see.”
