STATEWIDE (June 17, 2022) — Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is hosting vaccine clinics at a variety of Pride and Juneteenth community celebrations as it continues its statewide COVID-19 vaccination efforts this week. These events are part of CDPHE’s continuing commitment to health equity, meeting people where they are and eliminating barriers to accessing the vaccine.

In preparation for Denver Pride, CDPHE’s new health equity branch is partnering with some of Denver’s trusted LGBTQ+ friendly establishments to hold a series of mobile vaccine clinics as part of its Pride campaign: Vaccinate for Love. Vaccinate with Pride. CDPHE will also participate with a booth at the Denver Pride Festival and the inclusion of one of its mobile vaccination buses in the Pride Parade on June 25th. While this campaign focuses on Denver Pride, there will be additional mobile vaccine equity clinics across Colorado this month and later in the year as other Pride celebrations make their way to those communities.

CDPHE will also be hosting mobile vaccine clinics at community Juneteenth celebrations in Longmont, Denver and Colorado Springs on Sunday, June 19. In addition to these events, a full list of COVID-19 vaccine clinics can be found on our website, as well as a list of nearly 2,000 vaccine providers throughout Colorado. We encourage appointments for all clinics, and walk-ups are accepted while vaccine inventory is available each day.

In addition, CDPHE is partnering with 9Health:365 and the Colorado Black Nurses Association to offer free health screenings and vaccinations Saturday and Sunday at the Juneteenth Music Festival in Denver.

Vaccines are the safest, most effective way to slow the spread of COVID-19 and its variants and to help avoid the worst outcomes (severe illness, hospitalization, and death) among those who do become infected. Staying up to date with all recommended doses is the best way to keep up protection for you, your loved ones, and the community.  Everyone ages 5 years and older should get at least two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Everyone ages 12 years and older should get at least three doses for the highest level of protection.

Find out how many follow-up doses you or your child will need for the highest level of protection with our new Covid-19 Follow-up Dose Calculator. It is recommended that some people get four or five doses depending on their age and medical conditions.

Many vaccine clinics offer everything a family needs to get the highest level of protection: first and second doses, pediatric doses, and the important third and fourth doses. Most clinics also offer flu vaccine, and it is safe to receive a COVID-19 vaccine and  flu vaccine on the same day. Read our complete listing of where you can get vaccinated.
