During this “What They’re Watching” interview at our recent Utah State of Reform conference,, Angela Page, a faculty member at the Annie Taylor Dee School of Nursing, told us about the work underway to improve coordination between Utah schools and the healthcare system. Page works on school-based health services in Ogden, and said coordinating these services with other upstream and downstream services is key to improving the health of Utahn youth.
“This is a great effort from a community coming together to serve its local citizens and take the burden off of education so that educators can do what they do best, which is academics, and we can support that in a way that is integrated with public and private and other community resources, and not do it in a silo.”
