Le Ondra Clark Harvey, PhD, the chief executive officer of the California Council of Community Behavioral Health Agencies, told us she’s focused on embedding equity into the state’s ongoing, large-scale behavioral healthcare reform under the CalAIM waiver.
“Our behavioral health providers across the state are really anxious about how things are going to work in terms of health equity. It really has to be the thread across all the work we do, it really has to be the thread throughout the waiver and all of its programs, so our organization is working hard to figure out how to raise the voices of those who are traditional underrepresented and/or overrepresented in the behavioral health system.”
