Vincent DeMarco, president of the Maryland Health Care for All Coalition, says he hopes to see Maryland become the first state in the country with a zero percent uninsured rate, in alignment with Gov. Wes Moore’s vision. We heard about what he’s watching in Maryland at the 2023 Maryland State of Reform Health Policy Conference earlier this year.

His other top priorities are increasing the affordability of healthcare and improving health equity in the state.

“We have tremendous, tremendous leaders in the General Assembly. The chairs of the health committee, [Del.] Joseline Peña-Melnyk in the House and Sen. Melanie Griffith in the Senate, are just terrific, as are the president and the speaker.”
