2023 Utah Closing Keynote: Tracy Gruber, Utah Department of Health and Human Services
We had the opportunity to welcome Tracy Gruber, director of the Utah Department of Health and Human Services, deliver the Closing Keynote at our recent 2023 Utah Health Policy Conference. Gruber gave an informative update on her agency’s work over the past year, having settled into its status as a combined department after the 2022 merger of Utah’s two previous health agencies.

Gruber provided an overview of DHHS’s Results-Based Accountability Plan, which details the department’s performance measures, and urged stakeholders to contribute their insight about how to improve the delivery of healthcare in Utah.
“I hope that you will take the time to look at our RBA plan as a department, think about what you can do to help us collectively as a state ensure that all Utahns have fair and equitable opportunities to be healthy and safe. Our role is just part of a broader system that we all participate in. We value all of our partnerships with you, and look forward to continue to go on this journey as we [continue] building out DHHS.”
