Former Lieutenant Governor Mead Treadwell is one of the leading Republican candidates in the 2018 Alaska governor’s race. Prior to serving as Lieutenant Governor from 2010-14, Treadwell was appointed to the US Arctic Research Commission by President George W. Bush.
