Tacoma General names new chief operating officer
MultiCare Health System has named Julia Truman, MBA, as the new chief operating officer for MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital.
Truman most recently worked as Vice President of Operations for Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, part of Hospital Corporation of America. During her tenure there, Truman also served as the head of human resources.
She has been in health care for 15 years and is a seasoned leader with a highly specialized and diverse skill background. She is known for her passion for health care and strategies that improve the patient, employee and physician experience.
Truman’s achievements include improving employee engagement, patient satisfaction and strategic positioning. She also has a successful track record with regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness, environmental services, food and nutritional services, human resources, project management, ethics, compliance, education and emergency department operations.

Truman joins Beth Wheeler, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Tacoma General and Allenmore hospitals, and Anita Wolfe, Chief Nurse Executive of Tacoma General.
