Amerigroup Washington Names Tanya Dansky CMO
SEATTLE – December 3, 2015 – Amerigroup Washington recently named Tanya Dansky, M.D., FAAP, as its chief medical officer. Dr. Dansky is responsible for leading Amerigroup Washington’s medical management, care delivery and clinical activities as well as working with key external stakeholders in the state of Washington.
Dr. Dansky has more than 20 years of healthcare experience, serving as both a practicing physician and medical director for several healthcare organizations. Prior to joining Amerigroup Washington, Dr. Dansky served as chief medical officer for Columbia United Providers in Vancouver, Wash. where she established strong working relationships with multiple state agencies in Olympia. She also served as chief executive officer for Children’s Physicians Medical Group in San Diego, Calif. and as chief medical officer for Children’s Hospital of Orange County Health Alliance in Orange, Calif.
Dr. Dansky is board certified in Hospice, Palliative Medicine and Pediatrics. She completed a California Healthcare Foundation fellowship including sessions at University of California, San Francisco and University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Dansky also served as chief resident at University of California, San Diego Medical Center in San Diego. She is a graduate of Keck Medicine of University of Southern California and University of California, Davis.
Amerigroup Washington works to improve the health care access and quality for approximately 140,000 Washingtonians through innovative care management programs and services. Dr. Dansky will report to Daryl Edmonds, Amerigroup Washington president.
