WA Exchange passes motion to review code and architecture of WaHealthPlanFinder

State of Reform reported earlier that the Washington Health Benefit Exchange was hosting a special meeting for executive session. That meeting has adjourned. The Board went into Executive Session “to review performance on publicly bid contracts” and later  passed a motion 6-0 to  to review the code and architecture of WaHealthPlanFinder with the assistance of a third party vendor.

Details of the motion are still unknown such as the identity of the vendor and the extent of the review; however it seems clear that the Board is taking substantive action in the wake of criticism regarding technical problems affecting the Exchange and WaHealthPlanFinder.
