Pamela Fowler to Serve on Washington Health Benefit Exchange Advisory Committee

Edifecs Executive Selected to Team of Experts Supporting the State’s Health Insurance Exchange

BELLEVUE, Wash. – April 10, 2014 – Edifecs Inc., a global healthcare solutions company specializing in information management and compliance technology, today announced that Pamela Fowler has been appointed to the Washington Health Benefit Exchange Advisory Committee. Fowler was selected for her extensive healthcare knowledge, industry experience and involvement in the local community.  At Edifecs, she leads product marketing for consumer solutions in support of group and individual members—on and off exchanges.

Fowler has served the Pacific Northwest healthcare community for more than 21 years, working with payers, providers and employers. For the past four years, she has been on the Board of Trustees at UW Medicine/Northwest Hospital & Medical Center holding positions on the IT Committee and Clinical Quality Committees. Fowler has also been a member of the UW Physicians Board, which supports nearly 3,000 practicing faculty physicians in the community.

The Washington Health Benefit Exchange was created in 2011 and is responsible for the creation of the Washington Healthplanfinder, the state’s online marketplace for individuals, families and small businesses to find, compare and enroll in qualified health insurance plans. The Advisory Committee is made up of 20 individually selected community professionals who are tasked with deliberating on issues passed down from the Exchange Board. These professionals then use their unique expertise and individual perspectives to provide recommendations to the Board Committees.
