Carriers Submit Intent to Participate in WA Healthplanfinder

The Washington Health Benefit Exchange reports that it has received 24 notifications from carriers expressing intent to participate in Washington Healthplanfinder beginning next fall. The non-binding letters-of-intent expressed interest from 13 carriers in the individual market, seven in the small business health options program, and four in the dental market.

Carrier names may change and carriers are subject to submission and approval processes for Qualified Health Plans. Washington Healthplanfinder will begin enrolling consumers on October 1, 2013, for health insurance coverage beginning on January 1, 2014.
