OR: Freelancer’s Co-Op Asks for Feedback
Dear Friend of Freelancers CO-OP of Oregon:
Thank you for visiting our website and expressing interest in our new health insurance company. Many of you shared encouraging comments, saying how excited you are about the prospect of member-driven, affordable, high-quality health care here in Oregon. We’re excited, too!
I want to personally thank you for your support and update you on our progress. We have been licensed by the state and we have been approved to sell insurance through the Oregon health insurance exchange – Cover Oregon. When open enrollment begins on October 1, 2013, we’ll be ready to provide you with great customer service, useful information, and a range of affordable health plans that meet your needs, both through the insurance exchange and directly through us.
As you know, we are a “consumer oriented and operated plan” (CO-OP), which means we need to know about you and your needs in order to fulfill our mission to be consumer oriented. Beginning in January, 2014, when we have enrollees, we will be asking our members to step up to serve as directors, allowing us to fulfill the second part of our mission – to be consumer operated.
Please take a moment to complete the short (14 question) survey found at the link below to help us understand your thoughts on health insurance.

In the coming months, please keep checking our website – we’ll post the times and locations of our visits throughout the state – we want to meet you and learn what you believe a health insurance company should be.
And in the coming weeks, you’ll see our name and look change as we expand to meet the needs of more Oregonians. Our mission hasn’t changed, though. We’re still committed to providing affordable, high-quality health insurance so you can get the care you need, where you need it, when you need it. And we’ll be relying on you to continue to tell us what that is.
I look forward to welcoming you to a new approach to health insurance.
To a new future –
Dawn
