Robert Gordon tapped to lead Biden-Harris Agency Review health team

The Biden-Harris Agency Review Team for the Department of Health and Human Services will be led by Robert Gordon, the Director of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

The health director was appointed to his director role by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in 2019.  He previously served as a member of the Department of Education and U.S. Office of Management and Budget under President Barack Obama.

“This is a chance to share lessons from Michigan’s experiences fighting COVID, and to identify ways Washington can work with states to improve health care for everyone,” Gordon said in a statement.

Gordon will lead the team with Chiquita Brooks-LaSure of Washington D.C. He will also serve on the Agency Review Team’s for the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security.
