Maryland launches COVID-19 vaccine dashboard

Maryland has added vaccine distribution information to its COVID-19 dashboard. The state’s official webpage now includes data for vaccines administered throughout the state and information on the gender, race and ethnicity of those that have received the first dose of the vaccine thus far. It also informs Marylanders what stage of the vaccine rollout the state is on.

The data updates every 24 hours with a total and daily count of vaccines administered throughout the state. As of Dec. 29, there have been 28,615 total vaccinations, with 7,816 reported in the past 24 hours.

“The insight we take from this vaccination dashboard and all of our data helps inform everything from operations to outreach and communications,” said Dr. Jinlene Chan,  Maryland Department of Health Deputy Secretary for Public Health Services.

Maryland’s coronavirus dashboard initially launched in March. It provides daily updates on case numbers, death numbers, the availability of hospital beds in each region of the state and daily testing data. It includes special sections for data from schools and nursing homes. Marylanders can also find contact tracing information and the location of testing sites on the dashboard.

Vaccine distribution started in the state on Dec. 14. The state is in phase 1A of the distribution, which prioritizes front line medical workers, those that live in or work at nursing homes and first responders.
