The question of increasing affordable access to care has risen to the forefront of health policy conversations in the wake of COVID-19—a shift from previously cost-focused models. In the world of pharmacy, health leaders are engaging in conversations about navigating cost pressures as Florida continues to navigate the pandemic. State of Reform looks forward to diving into this topic at our upcoming “5 Slides: The policy implications of new medicines” virtual convening. The conversation will take place February 8, from 12:00—1:00pm ET.

In this discussion, health experts will share their thoughts on the path to making pharmaceutical care more affordable by way of formulary adjustments, increasing the use of biosimilars, or other innovative solutions.
