CMA & CHHS COVID-19 Virtual Grand Rounds webinar scheduled for July 14

The California Medical Association and the California Health and Human Services Agency, in partnership with CAPA and OPSC, are hosting a new monthly Virtual Grand Rounds series on COVID-19. The first webinar, State of COVID-19 with California Public Health Leaders, will take place July 14 from 12pm-1:30pm and is free and open to all interested clinicians.



An emailed statement provided the following description and participants:

“State public health leaders will discuss past and current state efforts to prepare for COVID-19 surges, data collection methods for surveillance and planning, as well as related impacts to California communities.

Participants include:

  • Mark Ghaly, M.D., California Health and Human Services (CHHS) Secretary
  • Erica Pan, MD, California State Epidemiologist and Deputy Director for the Center for Infectious Diseases at the California Department of Public Health
  • Sonia Angell, M.D., MPH, State Public Health Officer and California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Director
  • Alice Chen, MD, MPH, Deputy Secretary for Policy and Planning and Director of Clinical Affairs, California Health and Human Services Agency

Physicians can receive CME for participating in the COVID-19 Virtual Grand Rounds.”
