Jim Freeburg, founder and executive director of the Patient Coalition of Washington, is laser-focused on one key issue in Washington healthcare: affordability for patients. We had the opportunity to hear from Freeburg about his main priorities for state health policy at our recent 2023 Washington State of Reform conference.
“Right now, everybody in healthcare has a lobbyist except for the patients—and we’re trying to change that. You’ve got the hospitals, you’ve got the doctors, you’ve got the drug companies. There’s not enough people talking about the issues that really matter to patients, and we’re here to try to change the conversation.”
