Palm—standing in for Sec. Xavier Becerra, who was originally slated to speak but was called into a cabinet meeting—discusses Washington State’s status as a pioneer in state-level health policy reform, vaccine distribution efforts, the ACA’s lasting impact on the national healthcare landscape, and much more.

“Your history speaks for itself. The work you all do in this space is really important,” she said. “It shows not only your commitment to being innovators and leading the way, but to advancing health equity in all the ways that you can.”

Palm also answered several questions from the audience at the end of the keynote. See her full remarks above.
