Bimestefer set the tone for the day by talking through the variety of efforts her agency is undertaking to improve the state’s Medicaid program, lower the cost of care, reform behavioral healthcare, and much more.

Bimestefer emphasized HCPF’s unwavering commitment to value-based payment models in the Medicaid program.

“Why do you pay a value-based payment? Because you get what you pay for, and we need a different tomorrow. Yesterday’s not good enough. We need to close those disparities and pay providers to do that. We to improve quality and pay providers to do that. We need to improve access and pay providers to do that.”
