State of Reform returns to North Texas in-person for its annual health policy conference

After being virtual for 2020 and 2021, the 2022 North Texas State of Reform Health Policy Conference returns  in person at the Irving Convention Center in Dallas on Tuesday, September 27th.

Dr. Fred Cerise, President & Chief Executive Officer of Parkland Health & Hospital System, is scheduled for the Morning Keynote and will share his thoughts on the safety-net provider’s path moving forward.

Among the other notable health experts and policy leaders scheduled to speak at the event are Texas Medicaid Director Stephanie Stephens, who is scheduled for the Afternoon Keynote, and her predecessor at Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Stephanie Muth. 

Stephens will provide insights on recent Medicaid updates and share her vision for leading the program as the state recovers from the pandemic. Muth, who now consults on health policy, will lead a conversation on Texas Medicaid with Joyce Tapley, Chief Executive Officer of Foremost Family Health Centers and John Burruss, MD, Chief Executive Officer of Metrocare Services. 

The all-day conference will feature 14 panel discussions with topics ranging from the health effects of gun violence to the role of virtual care in the post-pandemic health landscape.
