Moments ago, the Office of the Governor confirmed that Greg Abbott has tested positive for COVID-19.

“Governor Abbott is receiving Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody treatment. Governor Abbott is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, in good health, and currently experiencing no symptoms.”

The Office did not comment on the Governor having attended a large fundraiser last night in Collin County with the Republican Club at Heritage Ranch.

In photos tweeted out by Abbott’s campaign, it shows the governor in a room with an estimated 250 attendees. None of the attendees appeared to be masked or to be socially distant from one another.

The Office of the Governor said only that “Everyone that the Governor has been in close contact with today has been notified.”
