Northam appoints Finley, others, to state health posts
Governor Ralph Northam appointed Catie Finley as deputy secretary of Health and Human Resources Friday. Since December 2019, Finley served as assistant secretary of Health and Human Resources.

Prior to joining the Northam administration, Finley was professional staff for the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies. She also served as a staff assistant for U.S. Sen. Mark Warner.
Corey Pleasants was named assistant secretary of Health and Human Resources. He previously served as legislative liaison for the secretary of Health and Human Resources and prior to that he was the chief of staff at the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services.
Madge E. Ellis, MD, president of Salem Surgical Associates, was appointed to the Board of Medicine.
