Six hospitals make top 250 list

Six North Carolina hospitals made Healthgrade’s America’s 250 Best Hospitals list, including Mission Hospital — Asheville, which is also made the top 50 list.

Vidant Medical Center, in Greenville, made the top 100 list. Pardee Hospital in Henderson, Novant Health Matthews Medical Center in Matthews, Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde and Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby are all ranked among the state’s top 250 hospitals.

Healthgrades rates hospitals on clinical outcomes. The measurements are done on the most common in-hospital procedures and conditions. Outcomes are adjusted for patients’ risk factors, such as age and underlying conditions. The analysis is built on 45 million Medicare medical claims from 4,500 hospitals.

Below is list of patient ratings. The percent indicates the portion of patients that gave each hospital a 9 or 10 rating. The data comes from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers Systems survey that is gathered from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
