Email: Navos and Community Psychiatric Clinic to merge

Today Navos CEO David Johnson sent the following email notifying members of the King County health care community that Navos and Community Psychiatric Clinic are merging.

To our King County Colleagues,

Navos and Community Psychiatric Clinic (CPC) are pleased to announce that we will be merging our organizations effective November 1, 2018.

Navos and CPC have similar missions, aligned values, and identical goals for improving behavioral health care services in our community. Through this merger, the two organizations will combine their efforts to support behavioral health services and be more efficient with the narrow operating margins in the community behavioral health field.

CPC programs and employees will become programs and employees of Navos when the merger is complete. CPC Chief Executive Officer, Doug Crandall will become COO of Navos and a senior executive for MultiCare.  I will continue to serve as the CEO over the combined entity. (Current Navos COO Cassie Undlin will retire in October)

In 2017, Navos affiliated with MultiCare, a not-for-profit, community-based health system with a well-respected behavioral health program. In 2018, Greater Lakes Mental Health of Pierce County also joined MultiCare as an affiliate organization. With CPC merging into Navos the four organizations will marshal their individual resources to become more effective in helping more individuals achieve wellness and live to their fullest potential.

For our patients and their families this will mean more whole-person care, more specialized staff and more resources to address the health services they need. Bringing our two organizations together creates a more efficient community-based system of behavioral health.
