AP issues ruling that will definitely impact your professional life

When you were growing up, you were told by your English teacher that you could use either the one word or two word spelling:  healthcare or health care.

The rule was, however, that you had to be consistent.  Pick one, so your grammarian said, and stick with it.

No more.

The AP has updated its ruling on this one.  It’s two words.

Unlike one space or two following different punctuation marks, this is apparently no longer up for debate.
