Bartlett Regional Hospital hires new chief behavioral health officer

Bradley Grigg has replaced Sally Anne Schneider, who was the chief behavioral health officer at Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau since March 2016. Schneider is now the CEO of LifeCare Behavioral Health Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Griggs started his new position last month shortly after leaving Juneau Youth Services, where he served as Executive Director for a little over a year. Prior to Juneau Youth Services, Griggs worked for the State of Alaska’s Division of Behavioral Health as the Children’s Behavioral Specialist and Community Mental Health Program Administrator.

As chief behavioral health officer, Griggs is responsible for the mental health unit, outpatient psychiatric services, and Rainforest Recovery Center, the 16-bed facility for substance abuse and addiction disorders.

Bartlett Regional Hospital is licensed for a total of 57 inpatient beds and has a 15,000 square-mile service area of approximately 55,000 people.
