Kaiser Permanente expands CareClinic at Bartell Drugs
Kaiser Permanente has opened their first new CareClinic at Bartell Drugs since acquiring Group Health Cooperative.
Kaiser first announced it was acquiring Group Health back in December 2015 but the acquisition only became official this year. After switching out signs at former Group Health locations earlier this month, Kaiser has continued to be visible in the community, this time with the opening of the eleventh CareClinic at Bartell Drugs.
The new location in Des Moines is the first of five CareClinics Kaiser plans to open in 2017. The four additional locations will be at Silver Lake, Gig Harbor, Snoqualmie, and Redmond Town Center.
“Patients come to our CareClinics for quality and convenient care,” said Kaiser Permanente CareClinic clinician Michael Erickson in a press release. “We’ve proven that CareClinics live up to the promise of quickly diagnosing and treating common ailments. We get you in, taken care of and on your way for an affordable price.”
CareClinics remain available to everyone, not just Kaiser Permanente members, over the age of two. Most insurance plans are accepted.
“Bartell Drugs guests have told us they want the ability to get care and treatment as well as everyday necessities in one place,” said John Lewis, director of CareClinic Operations for Bartell Drugs. “That’s why we’re so excited to continue our expansion in order to offer our services to more communities around the region.”
The CareClinics offer treatment services for minor illness and injuries, diagnostic tests, and immunizations.
