State of Reform is proud to announce the launch of our new video series titled “5 Slides We’re Discussing,” where attendees will have the opportunity to hear from policymakers, health care executives, and the people driving decisions in health care today.

This conversation will feature some of the most innovative and thoughtful healthcare leaders across Arizona. They will discuss how they have been navigating through organizational challenges both operationally and financially, in responding to the COVID-19 crisis. They are each strategic, mission-driven organizations focused on ensuring stability in a time of uncertainty.

Lorry Bottrill is President/CEO of Mercy Care, one of the largest Medicaid health plans in Arizona that manages 450,000 members in contracts with AHCCCS and DD Medicaid. She has worked at Mercy Care for over 10 years, previously as COO and CFO and is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 25 years experience in the health care industry.



Marcus Johnson is the Director of State Health Policy and Advocacy and oversees Vitalyst’s public policy agenda, and is responsible for initiatives related to access to care and coverage, workforce development and health advocacy. He comes to the world of philanthropy by way of public health and health care, having worked for the Maricopa County Department of Public Health and the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association.


Mo Sheldon is the new CEO of Northern Cochise Community Hospital and has had a career focused on healthcare in rural communities. She was previously the CE0/Superintendent of the Odessa Memorial Medical Center, a critical access hospital with a in Washington for nearly 7 years. She has an MBA from Texas Tech University.
