Carly Hood-Ronick is the executive director of Project Access NOW, a nonprofit that works with Oregon’s coordinated care organizations (CCOs) and health systems to provide underserved patients with access to care. We caught up with her at the 2022 Oregon State of Reform conference last fall to hear about what her organization is working on.

Her organization is working with Oregon’s coordinated care organizations, Kaiser Permanente, and Providence to provide discharged hospital patients with the resources they need to live healthy lives.

“So that might be a car seat for a new mom, or a transportation ride to their house, [or] a hotel room for three nights. We’re beefing up those programs, building more partnerships, and really looking at how we can remove administrative burden …”
