Last week, the Dow Jones Industrial Average announced that Kraft Foods would be replaced with UnitedHealth Group on the list of 30 leading companies which comprise the market index of companies.This is a pretty big deal symbolically, and points to a couple of things.

1.  The obvious and growing share healthcare has as portion of the overall US economy.

2.  The likely revenue and profit upside of expanding Medicaid to manage care insurers, like United.

This is stuff readers of this site already know.  However, it’s always something to have it so clearly demonstrated symbolically.
