What They’re Watching: Diane Lund-Muzikant, Editor-in-Chief, The Lund Report

Diane Lund-Muzikant, Editor-in-Chief and Founder of The Lund Report, sat down with us at Oregon State of Reform. We asked her what she’s tracking in health care.

“Where’s the money going? Millions are being put into healthcare [but] are people really getting the care they need?” Lund-Muzikant asks. She pushes for transparency, noting Oregon’s Coordinated Care Organizations being paid a lump sum to deliver results yet the spending by care type and by provider is still opaque.

Diane Lund-Muzikant is Editor-in-Chief of The Lund Report–the first independent website in Oregon dedicated to educating the public about the inner workings of the health care industry as well as a must-read for many industry insiders. Lund-Muzikant’s covered health care as journalist since the mid-1980s. Her accuracy and candor has both inspired and riled Oregon’s health insiders. She also ran the Oregon Health forum for 16 years from 1990.

We previously interviewed Diane Lund-Muzikant in a three-part series.
