5 THINGS WE’RE WATCHING – May 2012

There seem to be contradictory trends in Alaskan health care today.

On the one hand, the anxiety is palpable in almost every conversation I have with Alaskan leaders – from government to plans, from brokers to hospitals.  People are feeling the stress.

On the other hand, real progress is getting made, which compared to other states in the region, feels pretty good.

In other words, in spite of all of the concern and stress, real movement is underway in Alaskan health care today.  There’s a lot to keep an eye on.
