CALLING ALL MHA ALUMNI
November 1, 2011 - 11:59 am
State of Reform received this email today from one of our partners, the UW Masters in Health Administration program. For decades now, the program has been graduating some of the top young executives in health care in the country. I understand that if you’re an alumnus, this is pretty great event to reconnect with folks – both students and professors.
Dear MHA Alumni:
Registration is NOW OPEN for Evening for Alumni 2011! Join alumni, students, and members of our practice community for this exciting event!
Event Date: Wednesday, December 7

We will be joined by keynote speaker, Jac Davies, Director of the Beacon Community of the Inland Northwest. Davies led the development of a successful $15.7 million proposal to obtain federal funding for the creation of a regional care coordination project for individuals with diabetes. She currently manages the program that was created with this funding, including developing project plans and overseeing implementation of those plans, and communicating and coordinating with federal and state agencies and multiple private sector health care organizations, including hospitals, physician offices, insurers, pharmacies, laboratories, and long term care organizations.
Drawing on her experience with the BCIN, Davies will discuss the organizational and managerial implications of Health Information Technology (HIT) and Health Information Exchange (HIE).
Table discussions will be included in the seminar portion of the evening as a more robust form of Q&A and to explore of the issues presented by Davies. A reception will follow.
