The topical agenda for the 2012 Alaska State of Reform Health Policy Conference was announced today.  Convening in Anchorage on September 27, 2012, the conference will host over 275 Alaska stakeholders from across the spectrum of care – physicians to brokers, legislators to plan executives, and academics to employers. The goal is to provide a framework for discussion regarding some of the most pressing challenges facing health care today, by the most diverse audience of health care professionals possible.

Influenced by current health care issues, agenda tracks for Alaska State of Reform will cover topics such as:

Alaska Solutions: Four health care executives share their view of the challenges, the context, and the answers to Alaska’s healthcare system.

Strategies for Cost, Quality and Access: Understanding how systems, organizations, and leaders address the central questions in healthcare today will shine a light on the path forward.

Politics and Policy: How will the 2012 elections impact healthcare?  What are key legislators thinking with regard to next year’s legislative session?

Market Innovations: The market is shifting rapidly in response to cost pressures and regulatory reforms.  Learn what’s happening in Alaska from those leading the innovations.

“This is the one health policy conference you won’t want to miss,” says DJ Wilson, President of State of Reform.  “This conference will give attendees a holistic look at the issues facing Alaska, the opinion of expert panelists, and a chance to join in the discussion.”
